Message from the Principal
Dear Monarchs,
Where has the year gone? We are already into the fourth quarter and as of writing this, we have just over a month of school left this year. Schedules for the end of the school year will be coming out in the next few weeks.
There are a lot of activities going on at DHS this spring. Track, Soccer, Golf, and boys Tennis are all into their competition seasons and Baseball and Softball are getting ready for their seasons to officially start in May. Be sure to check Bound often for updated calendars for all activities.
DHS will be completing our state required tests, the ISASP tests, on April 22 and 23. These tests are important for the school and for the students individually. These results are taken into account for things such as class enrollment (including online college classes).
¿Adónde se ha ido el año? Ya nos encontramos en el cuarto trimestre y, al momento de escribir estas líneas, nos queda poco más de un mes de clases en lo que resta del año escolar. Los calendarios y horarios para el cierre del año escolar se publicarán en las próximas semanas.
Esta primavera se están llevando a cabo muchas actividades en DHS. Los equipos de atletismo, fútbol, golf y tenis masculino ya han iniciado sus temporadas de competición, mientras que los equipos de béisbol y sóftbol se están preparando para el inicio oficial de sus temporadas en mayo. Asegúrese de consultar la plataforma Bound con frecuencia para ver los calendarios actualizados de todas las actividades.
DHS llevará a cabo las pruebas estatales obligatorias —las pruebas ISASP— los días 22 y 23 de abril. Estos exámenes son importantes tanto para la escuela como para los estudiantes a nivel individual. Los resultados obtenidos se toman en cuenta para diversos fines, tales como la inscripción en asignaturas (incluyendo las clases universitarias en línea).
