Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Spring has sprung at Broadway Elementary. Please continue to send a jacket with your child on those chilly mornings. We do continue to go outside each day for recess. Page fourteen in the student handbook contains guidelines for appropriate student dress at school.
Parents have the greatest opportunity for building their child's self-esteem. A child who feels good about himself or herself is more likely to be successful at school. This month's tips in the newsletter offer simple techniques parents can use at home for boosting their child's self-esteem.
Thank you for your continued support.

Respect the Past & Represent the Future
Celebrating 75 Years in the Broadway Building
We are celebrating the 75th anniversary of our historical school building and taking a journey back in time. In the process, you'll see photos of the Denison students and staff of the past and present. We'll make our first stop in 1941, and then fast-forward to 1960 and 1961 in celebration of their homecoming class reunions.

Mission Statement
At Denison Community Schools, we believe all students can learn. Through essential concepts and skill sets, students will develop their individual talents in a meaningful curriculum while learning to work together collaboratively. Students will think creatively, critically, and constructively while learning will be enhanced through national, global, technological, and multicultural perspectives. Continuous commitment to improvement ensures that our students will be well-rounded and will have the ability to reason and act in an ethical manner which will empower them to be responsible citizens of the 21st Century.
