Middle School Academic Eligibility
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY PLAN
I. Academic Eligibility Policy: Students who are failing two or more subjects at midterm and at the end of each nine week grading period will be ineligible to participate in any away school activity that warrants the student leaving class during normal school hours. (Students shall not arrange their own transportation to an out of town event.) This ineligibility would be in effect for 10 school days.
II. Denison Middle School Disciplinary Referral System: Students who receive 4 disciplinary referrals during a nine week grading period are ineligible for all DMS activities for 10 school days. (excluding practices at the coach's/sponsor's discretion)
Students who receive 5 or more discipline referrals during a nine week grading period are ineligible for all DMS activities for the remainder of the nine weeks (excluding practices at the coach's/sponsor's discretion).
